I was awake early this morning. The thought of the 1000 checkout meant id barely slept. Went for a wander around the grounds at the wedding venue.
It was a lovely place.
Breakfast wasn’t overly impressive.
For the prices being paid. I expected top notch. It was nice but bot great.
After a lot of goodbyes, we headed off towards Chester.
Got to the hotel, The Crown Plaza, about 1130 and couldn’t check in.
We went for a wander around them came back and loitered in the bar.
Eventually got in the room and had a power nap. At 1800 we headed to the lounge. Lounge was shut. Turned out all that business had been moved to the main bar.
Beer and canapes included in the room price. Magic.
We had tea at Carluccios and a cocktail on the way back to the hotel.
